The 28-year-old joined Rimmy in July 2010
and made his debut on the opening day of the 2010/11 campaign. Ryan's now the second longest-serving member of David Cook's squad.
Since then, McCarthy's has gone on to make that central defensive berth his own and proven to be a fantastic addition to the club, with his consistent displays and reliability at the back.
McCarthy was a mainstay in defence with Glen Dinsdale, Adam Hutchinson, John Paul Fagan and Graeme Kershaw for Rimmy as the club set a clean sheet record (17) in the 2012/13 East Lancs League, West Riding County and Craven Cup winning team.
McCarthy in his 9th season with Rimington and has won 5 East Lancs Leagues, 1 West Riding County, 4 Craven and 1 Morrison Cups.
